Vanderbilt’s Rhett Wiseman Takes Fastball Straight to Neck, Homers Later in Game

That had to hurt. Like, a lot.
Vanderbilt's Rhett Wiseman forever has the nickname "tough guy" after taking a fastball straight to the neck against TCU during the College World Series on Friday night in Omaha, Nebraska.
During the first inning, Wiseman was preparing to bunt before getting beamed by an 89 mph fastball. He was obviously shaken up.
"First, I had to make sure I could breathe," he said. "… Then I got numb on that side of my body, and I had to make sure it came back. But then it all came back, and I was good to go," he told the Tennessean.
