TCU Beats Sam Houston State in Historically Long 22-Inning NCAA Tourney Game
Published by Tyler Brooke on June 1, 2014
The TCU Horned Frogs were able to get a big win in this year's NCAA baseball tournament, but it took them quite some time before they were finally victorious.
The Horned Frogs won 3-2 against Sam Houston State on Saturday night, but the game went 22 innings, making it the second-longest game in NCAA tournament history. The fans that stayed throughout must have been really dedicated, as the game lasted six hours and 54 minutes. You can see TCU's celebration in the video below.
The game is the second-longest, behind Texas beating Boston College in 25 innings back in 2009. After the win, the Horned Frogs are now just one more victory away from another regional title, while the Mustangs are playing Siena in an elimination game on Sunday.
