Oregon Baseball Player Wears ‘Rally Stack’ in 9th Inning vs. Xavier
Published by Tyler Brooke on June 1, 2014
Baseball players are known for wearing rally caps as their teams try to pull out come-from-behind victories, but one Oregon player took that to the next level.
During Sunday's matchup between the Ducks and the Xavier Musketeers, an Oregon player stacked up a number of hats on his head with the team down two runs in the ninth inning.
The "rally stack" may have worked, as the Ducks were able to tie it at 8-8 during the inning, then tacked on three more runs in the 10th inning to win, 11-8, and end Xavier's tournament run.
The Ducks weren't the only team to try out the rally stack, either, with another being spotted on the Louisiana-Monroe bench.
