NCAA Baseball Super Regionals: Best Hitters Remaining in College World Series
Published by David Daniels on June 3, 2014
While the 16 best ballclubs are competing in the NCAA baseball super regionals, the 16 best hitters necessarily aren't.
Many of the nation's most dangerous baseball players with a bat in their hands are on teams that have been eliminated from the College World Series. However, though some of the best are gone, numerous elite hitters remain in action. Here they are.
4. INF Eric Gutierrez, Texas Tech
There are larger players left in the College World Series than the 5'10", 190-pound Gutierrez. But few hitters' bats pack more of a punch than his.
Gutierrez's 12 home runs rank 18th overall in Division I, making him one of the few best remaining sluggers in the super regionals. His 58 RBI are tied for 15th overall.
