LSU Tigers No-Hit Northwestern State En Route to Historic 27-0 Victory

Tuesday night's game against Northwestern State was one that LSU players will never forget.
The No. 8 Tigers dominated the Demons from the start. Between the pitching and the offense, they were ready to play.
En route to a 27-0 victory, LSU scored at least four runs in each of the first four innings. The Tigers were held scoreless in only one inning, which meant they were scoring early and often. Had it not been for the game being called with two on and two out in the sixth inning, the score could've been even more lopsided.
The LSU offense was led by two players: shortstop Alex Bregman and catcher Tyler Moore. Each player hit a grand slam and drove in eight runs in the game. The eight RBI in one game put both players just off the school's single-game record. Bregman hit two home runs on the night.
All but three of the 27 runs the Tigers scored were earned.
