Donny Everett, Vanderbilt Pitcher, Dies at Age 19

Vanderbilt freshman pitcher Donny Everett died at the age of 19 Thursday night after drowning in Normandy Lake in Coffee County, Tennessee. 

Adam Sparks of the Tennessean was among the first to report the Clarksville, Tennessee, native's death. According to ESPN.com, a spokesman at the Coffee County Sheriff's Department confirmed Everett as the drowning victim Friday.

Vanderbilt director of athletics David Williams released a statement regarding Everett's death on the school's official website:
