It's hard to win in the College World Series if you don't have good pitching. As the saying goes, good pitching always beats good hitting.
You can't win if you don't score runs, though. Pitchers need their fair share of help, otherwise their performance is all for naught.
The 2013 College World Series features plenty of talented offensive players. Teams can't make it this far if they don't get on base and drive in runs.
