College Baseball Regionals 2014: Day 3 Results, Highlights and Analysis

You would be hard-pressed to come up with a day of college baseball with more at stake and more back-against-the-wall pressure than what teams were facing in the regionals Sunday.
The NCAA baseball tournament starts with 16 separate regionals that each consist of four teams that compete in round-robin style in a double-elimination format. Fifteen of the first 17 games on Sunday's schedule pitted squads sporting a 1-1 record against each other.
Kentucky Wildcats coach Gary Henderson summarized the pressure of the event nicely after his team stayed alive with a win Saturday, via Jerry Tipton of the Lexington Herald-Leader: “It’s amazing how quick you can go from tight to loose and loose to tight.”
