College Baseball Regional 2016: Results, Highlights and Bracket from Saturday

The second day of the regional round of the College World Series saw some championship hopes come to a premature end in the double-elimination format.
With 32 games on the slate, all 64 teams were in action yet again. Here's a look at Saturday's results; for the full bracket, click here.
Cal State Fullerton 1, Louisiana Tech 0
In a game that was originally scheduled for Friday, a Ruben Cardenas single in the bottom of the eighth inning was the only run needed for Cal State Fullerton to win its opening game of the College World Series.
More importantly, the pitching solidified the win, as four pitchers combined to allow just two Louisiana Tech hits.
Not to be lost in the defeat, Louisiana Tech pitching allowed just five hits on the afternoon, but with five baserunners for the entire game, it just wasn't enough.
