Published by Justin Welton on July 7, 2012
Chicks dig the long ball. But they aren't the only ones. Major League Baseball general managers and scouting departments also love the long ball.
In fact, they love the long ball so much, searching for power hitters in the MLB Draft is one of the highest priorities after pitching depth.
That's good news for Fresno State's Aaron Judge, who just won the 2012 College World Series Home Run Derby this week.
Welcome to the map, Mr. Judge, because you just put yourself on it.
When a player wins a competition such as a Home Run Derby, scouts, fans and coaches pay more attention and want to know more about the kid. When they look at Judge's scouting profile, they will be itching to select him in the MLB Draft.
