Arkansas-Vanderbilt Baseball Game Features Wild Play at the Plate

The first game of Saturday's doubleheader between the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Vanderbilt Commodores featured one of the wildest plays at the plate you will see all year.
With the game tied at 7 in the bottom of the 10th inning, Vanderbilt's Ro Coleman, who was on third with one out, represented the winning run. A flyout by Commodores first baseman Zander Wiel set the stage for a rather unusual play.
Coleman tagged up on the flyout and attempted to score the game-winning run on the play. However, the throw beat him to the plate. Coleman gave a good effort and did everything he could to avoid the tag.
Unfortunately for the Commodores, Coleman was unable to dance around two Razorbacks defenders to score the winning run. Vanderbilt did, however, eventually pull out an 8-7 victory in 12 innings.
