College World Series Schedule 2012: Dates, Matchups, Live Stream and TV Info

Every college baseball team begins the season with dreams of earning a trip to Omaha for the College World Series. After months of games and two rounds of regional play, eight teams have accomplished the feat and are now just a handful of wins away from a national title.
It's no surprise to see teams like Florida, Florida State and UCLA in the field, but appearances by Stony Brook and Kent State give the CWS a unique atmosphere. The format gives smaller schools a legitimate chance to compete with power programs.
The final stage of the tournament begins as two separate double-elimination brackets. One team will emerge from each, and those two schools will battle it out in a three-game series to become the 2012 national champion.
