SEC Baseball Tournament 2012: Breakdown of Opening-Round Action

The 2012 SEC Baseball Tournament is underway. Let's take a look at the results from the early action and preview the rest of the first-round games.
Ole Miss vs. Kentucky
No. 4 Kentucky took on and defeated No. 9 Ole Miss 2-0 in the opening game on Tuesday. UK starting pitcher AJ Reed threw 5.2 innings, ceding five hits and striking out three.
He also helped his own cause by hitting a solo shot off Ole Miss starter Bobby Wahl in the fourth inning. The other Wildcat run was plated on a Cameron Flynn single in the sixth inning.
Kentucky will receive a bye on Wednesday. Ole Miss plays on Wednesday against the losing team of the Arkansas and Mississippi State contest.
Mississippi State vs. Arkansas
Ryne Stanek (6-3, 2.96 ERA) started for the No. 6 Razorbacks, facing off against the No.7 Bulldogs and starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff (0-2 and 3.46 ERA).
