TD Ameritrade Park Omaha Prepares for a Grand Opening

Omaha's new crown jewel has been finished and is a mere 24 hours from its grand opening.
The Creighton Bluejays will take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers in front of a crowd of 24,000 Tuesday night in what will prove to be a historic event for Omaha and college baseball.
TD Ameritrade Park is a $131 million baseball stadium located in North Downtown Omaha, Nebraska that will be home to the College World Series for the next 25 years.
There was a lively debate in the city over whether to overhaul historic Rosenblatt Stadium or to invest in the future of the CWS at a new location in a new stadium.
Obviously the new stadium that seats 24,000 and is expandable to 35,000 was chosen to secure Omaha's marquee event for the next quarter-century.
This stadium does not have a main tenant, but will be used for a multitude of events in its inaugural year alone. Creighton will play the remainder of their home games at the stadium as well as the 2011 Missouri Valley baseball tournament.
