Arizona Wildcats Cap off the Sweep Against Utah Valley with 9-3 Victory

TUCSON, Ariz. – Sophomore starter Tyler Hale stumbled out of the gates, allowing three runs after walking the first two batters of the game.
After his sluggish first inning, the right hander regained his composure, throwing five scoreless innings against Utah Valley.
The Wolverines pitching kept Arizona's bats in check for the most part of the game's first half, only allowing one run in the third off a Joey Rickard RBI. First baseman Cole Frenzel bails out Hale with a two run knock off Utah Valley starter Kyle Beecher in the fifth and victory slipped from the paws of the Wolverines.
After the fifth inning, the Arizona Wildcats cruised to a 9-3 victory. Tyler Hale finished the game with 6.2 innings, 3 walks, 3 earned runs and 3 strikeouts while earning a no decision. Arizona reliever Matt Chaffee got the win pitched the remaining 2.1 allowing only 3 hits while striking out 2 batters.
Junior catcher seemed to have broken out of his early season slump after giving the Wildcats the lead.
