Houston Downs No. 3 Texas 1-0 at Houston College Classic

Scoring in the bottom of the 1st inning on a wild pitch by Brandon Workman, the Houston Cougars knocked off No. 3 Texas at the Houston College Classic.
The lone Cougar run scored went Blake Kelso bolted for home on Workman’s wild pitch. Kelso hit a triple in the bottom of the first to lead off the inning.
Michael Goodnight started the game on the mound for Houston; he saw seven innings of action while giving up only two hits on seven strikeouts and two walks.
