Webster Yankees Top Geneva, End Skid

Tuesday, Dave Brust’s Webster Yankees put a pair of undesirable streaks behind them.
After managing just 18 hits and 2 runs in their previous three games, the pinstripes exploded for 12 hits while downing the Geneva Red Wings 9-2 in New York Collegiate Baseball League action at McDonough Field. In the process Webster gave Red Wing starter, Casey Rana (UT Permian Basin), his first loss of the season.
Sean Bailey (SUNY Cortland) and Rhett Goodmiller (Central Michigan) combined for seven base knocks, and Lincoln Rassi (Toledo) struck out twelve as the Yanks ended a three-game losing streak.
Bailey led the way in the first with a one-out single to right field. Dominic Catanzarite (Ball State) and Steve Muoio (Georgia C&S) followed with hits to load the bases. Matt Jacobs plated Bailey with a sacrifice fly to center.
